スペイン語の歌詞に初挑戦 My first try to write lyrics in Spanish
唄の曲が生まれる時には、私の唄うタンゴのジャンルでも、作曲家と作詞家が異なる場合は、通常は歌詞が先にあり、メロディが後にできるようなのですが、今回は、出来上がっているメロディに歌詞をつけるということに初挑戦してみました。
才能あふれるシンガーソングライター、オランさんのライヴにうかがい、彼女の持つ独特な世界観、そして素晴らしい作品にすっかり魅了され、その中でも特に「誰も知らない気持ちの眠る場所」という曲の虜になり、ライヴ後に、スペイン語の歌詞をつけて唄ってもいいでしょうか、とご本人にうかがい了解を得たのが昨年の秋。その後いつもその歌詞のことを考えてはいたものの、既に存在する日本語の歌詞の響きが頭から離れず、なかなか思うようにスペイン語の歌詞が浮かばなかったため、自分のライヴでは、約束のスペイン語ではなくオリジナルの日本語で何度か唄わせて頂いていました。でも、その後も、何かスペイン語でいい言葉が浮かばないかといつも考えてはいました。
そして、およそ半年後の一昨日、いつものように、朝、ベランダの植物に水をあげていたら、いきなりその曲の最初のメロディがスペイン語の言葉と共に、耳に聴こえてきたのです！ まさに何かが降りてくる感覚。これは絶対に書き留めておかねば、と水やりを一時中断し、慌てて部屋に戻り紙に書き留め始めると、あとは言葉が自然に続き、一気に書き上げたのがこの詩です。
オランさんのオリジナルの歌詞の内容とは全く別ものですが、メロディにはスペイン語の言葉が奇跡的にあてはまり、またタイミング良く書き上げた翌日にオランさんのライヴがあったので、早速ご本人にお渡しし、ライヴ後にオラン・クワルテートのメンバーの方々の演奏と共に唄わせて頂き、ご本人にも気に入って頂け、とても幸せな時間を過ごすことができました。
この曲はタンゴではありませんが、全てスペイン語で唄うので、少しボレロ調にしてみたりと色々アレンジを工夫していくつもりです。早速、今月の３日、２３日のライヴから唄っていきますので、是非一度聴いて頂ければ幸いです☆
